Although it carries over many of the amazing features found in the previous iteration, including the standard all-wheel drive, many new things still make this model year even more exciting. 2024 Ford Edge SE With seating for five, the base 2024 Edge comes standard with many features, such as the Ford Co-Pilot360, which offers innovative technology like BlueCruise, a feature that builds on adaptive cruise control. The base model also offers ample comfort and convenience features such as two 12-volt powerpoints, intelligent access with push-button start, a blind-spot information system, a lane-keeping system, two configurable liquid crystal display displays for the driver's instrument panel, and a USB media hub. The touch-screen infotainment system comes with the SYNC 4A system that integrates a FordPass Connect 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. 2024 Ford Edge SEL The SEL trim is stepping up in the way of driver-assistance technology to help you safely traverse the trails both on and off the pavement. With its available Co-Pilot360 Assist+ package, you can get adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology, a lane-centering system, and an evasive steering-assist system. In addition to the tech, the SEL trim gets a facelift with chrome exterior accents and signature lighting with dark bezel headlamps. Inside, standard amenities include ActiveX seating material and heated front seats, making for a more comfortable drive, no matter the weather. 2024 Ford Edge ST-Line Sleek and stylish are two words that come to mind with the ST-Line with its dark interior, black accents, and ST badges artfully placed on the exterior. Speaking of the exterior, many touches set this trim apart from its predecessors, including the Pillar Black mesh grille, heated side-view mirrors, tailgate applique, satin aluminum fog lamps, and ST-Line fender badges. Other upgrades in this trim include 20-inch premium Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheels, as well as a wireless charging pad, remote start, and power liftgate as standard, which were optional features in the previous trim. 2024 Ford Edge Titanium Next up is the Titanium line, which gets an even larger list of standard and optional Ford Co-Pilot360 features. The standard lineup includes rain-sensing wipers on the front windshield with optional features such as an enhanced active park-assist system, a forward, reverse, and side sensing system, and a front 180-degree camera with split view. The exterior includes bright tips and accents added to the dual integrated exhaust, door handles, and lower cladding. Chrome finishes also make their way to the fog lamps and grille. Enhancing the upgraded feel are the interior upgrades such as ambient lighting, a standard heated steering wheel, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel that offers controls for cruise control, secondary audio controls, and five-way controls. Another unique touch that makes its way to the interior is a 10-way power driver's seat, a six-way power front passenger seat, and available cooled front seats and heated rear seats. 2024 Ford Edge ST Topping the trim list is the ST trim that takes performance up a notch. It has the same standard and available Ford Co-Pilot360 features as the plush Titanium line. Where this gets a major upgrade is the engine and transmission, which focuses more on providing a higher-end performance than previous trims. It gets a 2.7-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine that pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. This powerful engine can generate up to 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, making for a more responsive and fun drive. Along with the engine and transmission, Ford boosted the brakes with the ST Performance Brake Package, including performance brake pads, Colorado Red-painted brake calipers, a brushless radiator cooling fan, and stunning 21-inch Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheels. Optional Packages To enhance your off-roading experience, there are also several optional packages you can add to your Ford Edge that bring your AWD experience to the next level. Here are some optional packages and upgrades to consider: Class II Trailer Tow Package: Standard on the ST trim and available on the SEL, ST-Line, and Titanium trims, this package also has trailer sway control to provide you with more stability on the road. This includes SelectShift capability and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Engine block heater: If you enjoy going on adventures in the cold or live where the winter does its best to turn you into an ice cube, upgrading to get the engine block heater can make the world of difference when it comes to starting your vehicle on those cold mornings. Roof-rack side rails: If you love to go kayaking or mountain biking, you'll know the importance of having side rails — and roof-rail crossbars — installed on your vehicle. Ford OEM Parts

Benefits of Choosing Ford OEM Parts

Choosing the right auto parts for your car, truck, or SUV saves money and avoids stress about vehicle issues. When buying new brake pads or other components for your Ford, it's best to choose genuine parts. Ford original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts have much better quality and durability than their aftermarket competitors, and they can give you outstanding performance. Our team at Brewster Ford has listed some key information about the differences between aftermarket and OEM parts, the advantages of choosing genuine, and the issues aftermarket components could cause. Aftermarket vs. OEM Parts Aftermarket parts come from third-party manufacturers, and they're designed to replace OEM components. They're usually cheaper than OEM parts and may be more easily available. However, Ford OEM parts are designed especially for Ford vehicles. Ford doesn't make all OEM parts, but the company approves ones made by other manufacturers. These are the same parts used when Ford vehicles were assembled, so you won't have to worry about compatibility. Your insurance company can't require you to choose a particular component for repair after an accident, but it can ask you to pay the difference if the OEM version you want is more expensive than an aftermarket option. The Advantages of OEM Parts With OEM parts, you don't need to make adjustments to get a better fit, and they are also more durable than aftermarket options. They could be more expensive than the aftermarket versions, but they can save you money over time by reducing the risk of costly repairs or part replacements. In fact, there are multiple additional benefits to using OEM parts. Protection for Your Warranty Using genuine Ford parts for general maintenance or repairs protects your vehicle's warranty. Most new Fords have a three-year general warranty and a five-year powertrain warranty. Ford OEM parts have an additional two-year unlimited-mileage warranty. New, genuine Ford gas engines and transmissions get another year, meaning they last for three years with unlimited mileage. With OEM spark plug wire sets, you'll get a lifetime warranty. If any defective components or manufacturing issues cause problems, the warranty for your vehicle or OEM parts will cover repair costs. However, installing aftermarket instead of OEM parts could void your vehicle's warranty and leave you responsible for all repair costs. Extended warranties are available with gas, electric, or hybrid Fords, and they can last much longer than the standard warranties for OEM parts. Thorough Inspections Ford inspects OEM parts before selling them. Then, before installation, our technicians at Brewster Ford look at each component to ensure it is made to fit your Ford model. Our professionals are well-trained, and we provide outstanding service. Maintained Value for Your Ford It's a good idea to keep detailed records of any repairs and maintenance you do to your vehicle. If you decide to sell or trade it in, you can often set a higher price by showing potential buyers your maintenance records and letting them know you chose genuine OEM parts. They are better quality than aftermarket options, and manufacturers don't attempt to increase profits by cutting costs. Many people prefer OEM parts because they last longer and they can maintain your vehicle's outstanding performance. Ford OEM parts use top-grade materials, and since they rarely fail, they're safer and more reliable than aftermarket components. Help From Experienced Technicians When you buy aftermarket parts, you have to search through a huge selection of many vehicle brands. An expert here at Brewster Ford can help you choose the right OEM part for your car, truck, or SUV. They can also install it for you. In many cases, there's only one OEM option to replace a particular component, so having repairs or maintenance completed with genuine Ford parts is convenient and quick. FordPass Rewards FordPass Rewards offers points for Ford Parts Center purchases through the program's mobile app or Visa card. You can also build up points from dealership purchases, tolls, monthly car insurance payments, parking, and maintenance. These points can give you substantial discounts at Brewster Ford. You can use them for Ford service, OEM accessories, or some of the down payment on your next new Ford. When you earn enough points to reach Ford's Blue Tier, you'll get a 10% bonus on the points you earn after that. We also offer parts specials on some OEM components. Possible Issues With Aftermarket Parts There are many aftermarket parts available, and you need to spend hours or days doing research to find the right one that's suitable for your vehicle. While the makers of many aftermarket components focus on low prices, the manufacturers of OEM parts prioritize quality. Some aftermarket components have warranties, but they're usually not as long as those for Ford OEM parts. Since aftermarket parts aren't made only for Ford, they may not meet the exact specifications of your vehicle — this means they're more likely to fail. Modifying your Ford with aftermarket parts can lead to various problems. If an aftermarket part or accessory fails after you sell your vehicle, you could be liable for any damages or injuries. Many aftermarket components don't meet the same standards and requirements as OEM ones, so they're not as safe or reliable. If you use an aftermarket version to replace a part of your vehicle's body or bumper, it may not match well. In contrast, the appearance and performance of OEM parts are just like the originals, so your vehicle can still look excellent after repairs, upgrades, or maintenance. For the Best Quality, Choose Ford OEM Parts You can order OEM parts online, call us, or visit us in person. Our service and parts departments are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. We're a family-run business that started in 1972, so we have the experience to help you use OEM parts to keep your Ford in outstanding shape. We can also help you buy or lease a new Ford car, truck, or SUV. Our goal is customer satisfaction, and our many excellent staff members are happy to serve new and returning customers.

Ford Edge

Which Is Bigger Ford Edge or Escape?

If you're ever in the market for an SUV, it would be well worth checking out all the options Ford offers. You'll have plenty of choices, from the iconic Ford Bronco to the classic Ford Explorer. Two of the best small SUVs in the Ford lineup are the 2023 Ford Edge and the 2023 Ford Escape. If you'd like an SUV on the smaller side, you can't go wrong with either one. So, which one is the larger of the two? It all depends on your perspective. Let's delve into the details below. Length At first glance, it might seem as if the 2023 Ford Edge and the 2023 Ford Escape are around the same length. But after a closer look, you'll see that the Edge is approximately 8 inches longer than the Escape. The 2023 Edge measures 188.8 inches long, while the 2023 Escape measures 180.1 inches or 181.2 inches, depending on whether you use the forward or all-wheel drive model. Either way, the Edge surpasses the Escape in terms of length. Width The 2023 Ford Edge is longer and wider than the 2023 Ford Escape. But again, there isn't much of a difference between these two Ford SUVs. The 2023 Edge is 75.9 inches wide without mirrors, while the 2023 Escape is 74.1 inches wide without mirrors. However, when you factor the mirrors into the equation, it's worth noting that the 2023 Edge is 85.8 inches wide, while the 2023 Escape is 85.6 inches wide. This makes the 2023 Edge and Escape look almost identical regarding width. Height After learning about how the 2023 Ford Edge is longer and broader than the 2023 Ford Escape, it shouldn't be a huge surprise to hear that the newest Edge is slightly taller than the latest Escape. The 2023 Edge is 68.3 inches tall, while the 2023 Escape is just 66.0 inches tall. But that number will increase slightly to 66.1 inches tall if you go with the hybrid version of the 2023 Escape. Weight Neither the 2023 Ford Edge nor the 2023 Ford Escape is all that heavy compared to most other SUVs. But we need to point out that the Edge weighs more than the Escape and, in some cases, a lot more than the Escape, depending on which trim level you choose to go with. The 2023 Edge will be at least 4,122 pounds, and that number can go as high as 4,515 pounds. The 2023 Escape, on the other hand, can weigh as little as 3,283 pounds and as much as 3,904 pounds. Headroom As you can see, the 2023 Ford Edge is clearly larger than the 2023 Ford Escape as far as the exterior. But does this hold on the interior as well? There isn't too much discrepancy regarding the headroom in the 2023 Edge versus the headroom in the 2023 Escape. The Edge offers 40.2 inches of headroom in the first row and 40.3 inches in the back row. Meanwhile, the Escape offers 40.0 inches of headroom in the front row and 39.3 inches in the back row. Passenger Volume Once we move into the passenger volume category, you'll see that the 2023 Ford Edge creates a clear separation between itself and the 2023 Ford Escape. The Edge is going to set you up with more room for you and your passengers to spread out inside. You'll find 113.9 cubic feet of space for passengers in the Edge compared to just 104.0 cubic feet for passengers in the Escape. That number also drops to just 102.2 cubic feet of passenger space in the hybrid version. It's worth noting that both the 2023 Ford Edge and the 2023 Ford Escape offer comparable legroom in the front and rear areas. You'll even get an extra 0.1 inches of legroom in the back of the Escape, one of the few areas in which the Escape is more spacious than the Edge. But the Edge provides more hip and shoulder room than the Escape, which should make it slightly more comfortable for passengers. Cargo Space Cargo space is another area in which the 2023 Ford Edge stands out over the 2023 Ford Escape. When you fold the rear seats down in the 2023 Escape, it'll give you 65.4 cubic feet of cargo space, which is a respectable number when you consider the vehicle's overall size. But you'll be treated to 73.4 cubic feet of cargo space in the 2023 Edge, which will undoubtedly be a nice upgrade over the cargo space available in the 2023 Escape. The Edge will also give you 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind its second row. Fuel Tank Every 2023 Ford Edge will come with the same size fuel tank. They all have 18.5-gallon fuel tanks that you shouldn't have to refill very often. However, several different-sized fuel tanks are found in the 2023 Ford Escape, though none will surpass the size of the fuel tank in the Edge. The smallest fuel tanks in the 2023 Escape are just 11.1 gallons, while the largest ones are 15.7 gallons. Compare the 2023 Ford Edge and 2023 Ford Escape in Person You aren't notice a significant difference between the sizes of the 2023 Ford Edge and the 2023 Ford Escape. How Long Is a 2023 Ford Expedition?

Do you want to get behind the wheel of a three-row SUV that'll offer a combination of a lot of extra legroom for you and your passengers and plenty of cargo space? Then you'll appreciate what the 2023 Ford Expedition has to offer. It's one of the largest SUVs out on the road today, so it would be the ideal choice for anyone in the market for an SUV that'll provide you with more size and space than you could ever imagine. So, just how big is the 2023 Ford Expedition? Learn all about it below to find out. How Long Is a 2023 Ford Expedition? When you look at the 2023 Ford Expedition models available, you'll notice one thing almost immediately. Some of them are longer than others. That's because Ford has manufactured 2023 Ford Expeditions in two different lengths. A standard 2023 Ford Expedition is 210 inches long. But you'll also have the option to go with a 2023 Ford Expedition MAX that measures up to 222 inches long. It's a great option if you need even more space than usual in a 2023 Expedition. How Wide and High Is a 2023 Ford Expedition? While the 2023 Ford Expedition MAX will be significantly longer than the standard 2023 Ford Expedition, it's worth noting that all 2023 Expeditions will have the same width and height. The width of the 2023 Ford Expedition is right at 80 inches, while the height of the 2023 Expedition is about 76 inches. As a result, we can guarantee the 2023 Expedition will look like a huge SUV regardless of which length you decide to buy. How Much Does a 2023 Ford Expedition Weigh? Because the 2023 Ford Expedition is so long, wide, and high, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that it's one of the heavier SUVs you'll find out there. The exact weight of a 2023 Expedition will depend on which particular trim you choose. If you go with a standard 2023 Expedition, it'll weigh in at somewhere between 5,368 and 5,623 pounds. The amount of fuel you'll be able to fit in a 2023 Ford Expedition will also depend on the model you're interested in. How Much Passenger Volume Does a 2023 Ford Expedition Provide? One thing you might find interesting about the 2023 Ford Expedition is that you won't see a major difference in passenger volume with either the standard or the MAX model. While the MAX option has a little more passenger space, the difference is minimal. You'll get a quite comfortable 171.9 cubic feet of passenger volume in the standard 2023 Expedition versus a nearly equal 172.0 cubic feet of passenger volume in the MAX. However, there will be a much larger difference in cargo space between the two Expedition models. How Much Cargo Space Does a 2023 Ford Expedition Offer? If you plan to use a 2023 Ford Expedition to haul a lot of sports equipment or work gear or go away on family vacations, you'll be happy to hear that both have plenty of cargo space available. But the 2023 Ford Expedition MAX is the version you'll want to go for if you need the most cargo space. Its added length provides it with more space to transport all your work and sports equipment or other cargo inside. Overall, the standard 2023 Ford Expedition has 104.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the first row, while the 2023 Ford Expedition MAX has 121.5 cubic feet. The 2023 Expedition MAX also provides more cargo space behind the second row (73.3 vs. 57.5 cubic feet) and the third row (34.3 vs. 19.3 cubic feet). Both models will provide you with more cargo space than the competition might offer, but you'll possibly like getting the extra bump in cargo space that the 2023 Ford Expedition MAX can offer. What Kind of Engine Does a 2023 Ford Expedition Have? With the 2023 Ford Expedition being as big and heavy as it is, you might assume it has a supersized engine to help it get around. And you'd be correct. Every 2023 Ford Expedition comes with an impressive twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine that can produce up to 380 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Some higher trims'll use the same engine but boost the output to 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Outside of helping move the 2023 Ford Expedition itself around, the engine found in this SUV is also capable of towing an impressive amount of weight. This is actually one area in which the standard 2023 Expedition is able to outdo the 2023 Expedition MAX. It has a towing capacity of up to 9,300 pounds, while the MAX version can tow up to 9,000 pounds. Nevertheless, both numbers are better than the towing capacities you'll find for similarly sized SUVs. Visit Our Lot To See How Long a 2023 Ford Expedition Is for Yourself Do you want to ensure that a 2023 Ford Expedition will be long enough and large enough for you? The only surefire way to figure this out will be by taking a look at one in person. How to Fix a Power Steering Assist Fault in a Ford Explorer

Did a Power Steering Assist Fault message appear on the dashboard of your Ford Explorer? Like most other messages that might pop up on your dashboard, this isn't something you'll want to ignore. Your Ford Explorer has a power steering system in it that's designed to help you steer it in the direction you want to go. If this message shows up on your dashboard, it means something is going wrong with this system, meaning you could lose the ability to steer your SUV with ease sometime soon. This could put your safety at risk. So, what should you do if you see the Power Steering Assist Fault message appear? There are several steps you can take to try to remedy this situation. Learn more about them below so this message can disappear once and for all. more Schedule Service Service Center Ford Mobile Service Call Us! Add Power Steering Fluid When did you last replace the power steering fluid in your Ford Explorer? Generally speaking, you'll want to do this every 50,000 miles or so. If you don't replace it, you may start to see power assisted steering problems and your power steering fluid may fail to work as effectively as it should. This can lead to the Power Steering Assist Fault message appearing. You'll also want to look out for dramatically dropping power steering fluid. This may happen if you leak into your power steering system. You'll need a mechanic to look at your Ford Explorer if you suspect you might have a power steering fluid leak. They'll be able to fix the problem so that the Power Steering Assist Fault service required message in your Explorer goes off and, more importantly so that your power steering system starts working like it's supposed to again. Replace a Bad Steering Angle Sensor You'll find a steering angle sensor behind your Ford Explorer's steering wheel. It's in charge of keeping tabs on when you're turning your steering wheel and how much you're turning it. There's a chance this sensor might go bad at some point and cause major issues with your power steering system. This will result in the Power Steering Assist Fault message appearing in your Ford Explorer. Outside of causing steering troubles, a bad steering angle sensor can also lead to traction issues in your Ford Explorer. For this reason, you'll want to replace a bad steering angle sensor in your Explorer immediately. Schedule a Wheel Alignment When you see the Power Steering Assist Fault message in your Ford Explorer, you might not immediately worry about your wheels and whether they're properly aligned. But if your vehicle is constantly pulling to the right or left when your steering wheel is straight, it likely means you have an alignment problem on your hands. This can cause the Power Steering Assist Fault message to appear because your vehicle thinks there's something wrong with your power steering system when, in reality, it's your wheels that are the problem. Get Rid Of a Blown Fuse There are fuses in your Ford Explorer's fuse box responsible for your power steering pump and other components in your power steering system. If one of these fuses ever goes bad, it could lead to the Power Steering Assist Fault message lighting up on your Explorer's dashboard. Replacing a blown fuse is one of the cheapest fixes for this problem. You'll be lucky if it's the only thing you need to do to get your Power Steering Assist Fault message off. Fix an Electrical System Fault Your Ford Explorer has a complex electrical system to power all the electrical components. You might find that your Explorer's electrical system shows wear and tear as your SUV ages. If everything else with your power steering system appears to be working properly, you might want to have a professional inspect the electrical system. It won't always be easy to diagnose a problem related to your power steering system in your electrical system, but it could uncover what's wrong with it. It's worth noting that a bad battery could also be to blame for electrical problems in your Ford Explorer. Replacing it could work wonders for your SUV's power steering system and other systems. Swap Out a Bad Belt Many power assisted steering systems include belts connecting them to Ford Explorers' engines. If you hear strange sounds when you turn your vehicle, it could indicate that this belt is going bad. It could also lead to the Power Steering Assist Fault message in your Explorer turning on. In this case, you'll need to repair your power steering system by replacing a bad belt with a brand-new one. Install a New Power Steering Pump The power steering pumps in power steering systems are durable and shouldn't present too many problems over time. But suppose a power steering pump ever goes bad. In that case, it'll make it impossible for your power steering fluid to circulate, resulting in the Power Steering Assist Fault message appearing on your dashboard. Replacing a power steering pump isn't a job you'll be able to do yourself. You should drive your Explorer to a trusted Ford service center for assistance. Do You Need Help With a Power Steering Assist Fault? If your Ford Explorer's Power Steering Assist Fault message has come on, but you've had no luck troubleshooting the problem, Brewster Ford in Brewster, New York, would love to provide you with the help you need. Bring your vehicle down to our service center. We'll give your Ford Explorer a thorough check-up and find out the cause of the power assisted steering problems so that we can make the proper repairs and get the Power Steering Assist Fault message to turn off. How much can a 2023 Ford Bronco tow?

How Much Can A 2023 Ford Bronco Tow?

The Ford Bronco is a crossover renowned for its off-roading expertise, but it's also a handy towing machine. There are two configurations available with the Bronco — a two-door and a four-door model. While the two-door option tends to be the preferred choice among off-roaders, the four-door version provides you with more interior cargo capacity. Here's a closer look at exactly how much the Bronco can tow and what features it comes with to make hauling a heavy load at the rear that bit easier. To learn more, don't hesitate to contact our experts here at Brewster Ford. 2023 Ford Bronco Towing Limits Most 2023 Broncos have a towing limit of 3,500 pounds. However, the Raptor trim, which is the highest option in the 10-trim lineup, increases your towing capacity to 4,500 pounds. The added capacity is made possible by a more powerful engine under the hood, which produces the necessary torque and horsepower to handle those extra-heavy loads. The Bronco's towing abilities stand out among other vehicles in the compact SUV class. Many other crossovers struggle to tow half as much as the Raptor, with common towing capacities ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 pounds. So if you're looking for a compact towing machine, the Bronco should be at the top of your list. What Can a 2023 Bronco Tow? Some people find it difficult to imagine what a 4,500-pound towing limit looks like in practice. What pieces of equipment can a vehicle with that towing limit pull at the rear? If you're asking yourself this question, it may help to consider a few examples. The Bronco can easily handle a small travel trailer or a pop-up camper. If you push the towing capabilities a bit harder, you'll also have no trouble towing a utility trailer or a modest-sized camper. When figuring out the towing capacity, it's important to consider the weight in your Bronco's cabin and what you're pulling at the rear. As a result, a full cabin of passengers or a heavy load of cargo behind the second row can reduce your towing capacity. Going over your towing capacity is something you should avoid at all costs, as it can cause serious damage to your vehicle. Your performance on the road will be impaired because your Bronco will be much more difficult to handle. Ford Bronco Engine and Performance The key to the Bronco's impressive towing abilities is its powerful engine lineup. Even the base engine has strong stats. The 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder unit can put out 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque, and it's paired with a seven-speed manual transmission. This engine gives the Bronco a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. The second engine option is a 2.7L six-cylinder unit. It has an output of 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Like the base engine, this engine gives the Bronco a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. However, it offers stronger acceleration from zero to 60 mph than the base turbocharged unit. The biggest Bronco engine is available only in the range-topping Raptor trim. The 3.0L unit churns out 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. Only with this powerhouse under the hood can your Bronco reach its top towing capacity of 4,500 pounds. Bronco Cargo Capacity Along with the Bronco's great towing abilities, you can carry additional cargo at the rear of the cabin. You may require camping gear or luggage space for your next vacation. If you plan on making the most of the Bronco's interior space, you'll want to opt for the four-door version. In this setup, the Bronco can carry over 35 cubic feet of cargo at the rear. The second row folded flat boosts this capacity to over 77 cubic feet. The smaller two-row Bronco is still a capable cargo hauler, and it may still be your best option if you plan on doing a significant amount of off-roading. There are 22.4 cubic feet of storage space behind the second row, which can comfortably hold a large load of groceries. If you need to haul bulkier items, you can access over 52 cubic feet of space by folding the second row flat. Bronco Off-Roading Capabilities The Bronco needs little introduction to seasoned off-roaders. Its long list of gear designed to tackle rocks, mud trails, steep gradients, and other challenging surfaces puts this crossover at the front of the pack when the pavement ends. For towing, this means that you'll have no trouble hauling a camper or trailer along a gravel road or trail to reach even the most out-of-the-way campsite. One of the most important features that help the Bronco tackle rough terrain is its ground clearance. Even the base model has an excellent ground clearance of 8.3 inches. Move up to the top Raptor trim, and you'll have an incredible 13.1 inches to work with. The Bronco is equipped with numerous skid plates to protect its components from rocks and other obstacles. The off-road suspension ensures this crossover articulates well over bumps and other objects. Various off-roading upgrades are available to tackle the most challenging trails. For instance, you can get winch-ready bumpers, mud or all-terrain tires, and locking differentials. All trims have different drive modes that can alter the traction and other aspects of the Bronco's performance to handle mud, sand, snow, and other conditions. 2023 Blue Ford Explorer Hybrid

How Long Will The 2023 Ford Explorers Normally Last?

The Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV that's an attractive option for families in Brewster, New York, needing a vehicle with plenty of passenger and cargo space. Another benefit of the 2023 Ford Explorer is its durability and longevity. But how long can the Explorer last? Our experts here at Brewster Ford have created this guide to the 2023 Explorer's expected life span, including some tips on how to get the most out of your vehicle. Feel free to contact us with any questions about vehicle maintenance or repairs, or reserve an appointment at our Ford service center. Value Your Trade-In Search New Vehicles What Is the Estimated Life Span of the Ford Explorer? A Ford Explorer can last anywhere from 10 to 17 years and get up to 80,000 to 200,000 miles. Some owners have even reported achieving 300,000 miles in their Explorer. If you're trying to get the longest life out of your Explorer, it's best to aim to drive around 12,000 miles per year since covering significantly more than this can result in your Ford wearing out more quickly. You can expect your Explorer to require more maintenance and repairs as it ages. There are some standard maintenance thresholds to keep in mind. For example, it's typical for Explorers to need major performance maintenance somewhere around the 150,000-mile mark. Around 200,000 miles, you may need to replace the timing chain or belt. We'll detail the important maintenance areas you should pay attention to later. What Factors Influence the Explorer's Life Span? Your local environment can significantly impact your car's durability. For example, the cold weather we experience in winter here in Brewster means dealing with salt on the roads to melt the ice that would otherwise make driving dangerous. While salt helps make the roads safer, it can cause extensive corrosion on the undercarriage of your Explorer. You can avoid this by regularly washing your car with water to remove the salt from its bodywork and other components. This step should help prevent damage to parts that could prove expensive to repair. Your driving style is another factor that could affect your vehicle. Traveling at high speeds requiring you to regularly slam on the brakes or other poor driving habits take their toll on a vehicle. Your Explorer may experience quicker wear on its brake pads, damage to other braking components, and added pressure on engine components. That's before we even start talking about the increased risk of accidents with reckless driving. A final point to keep in mind is where you drive. If you spend most of your time on city roads, you'll have to brake and accelerate more often than on the highway, especially in stop-and-go traffic. Over time, this type of driving can wear on your vehicle. Excessive wear and tear may also be problematic if you regularly travel over mountain passes since the engine will be under greater strain when climbing steep gradients. Can Maintenance Improve the Explorer's Longevity? Sticking to a routine maintenance schedule is the most effective way to ensure your 2023 Explorer has a long working life. The factory warranty will protect your Explorer during the first three years you own it. This warranty covers defective or damaged parts resulting from poor workmanship. You may want to take out an extended warranty after the factory warranty expires. Common maintenance tasks can help protect your Explorer's components from excessive wear and tear. For example, regularly changing the engine oil will protect engine parts against unnecessary friction caused by contaminated oil. When debris from worn parts or dirt from an external source contaminates the oil, it loses its lubricating abilities. Regularly inspecting the brake pads and replacing them when appropriate is also crucial since worn pads can result in serious damage to other parts of the braking system that are expensive to replace or repair. As your vehicle gets older, you'll want to pay close attention to any indications that it needs maintenance, including warning lights on the dashboard, strange noises when you're driving or braking, and problems with your vehicle's performance. Preventive maintenance is the most effective, which means scheduling repairs before a problem gets serious. One of the most effective ways to practice preventive maintenance is to have a regular multipoint inspection at a reliable dealership, where a trained service professional can examine all your Explorer's main components. Key Points About the Ford Explorer The 2023 Explorer is a three-row SUV with seating for up to seven people. If you have a young or growing family, the Explorer's large interior dimensions and lengthy average life span make it a great choice if you're looking to purchase a vehicle that can fit your needs for years to come. Behind the third row of seats, you'll find 18 cubic feet of storage, which is enough for a load of groceries or your kids' soccer gear. You can transport bulkier items with the third row down, which creates more than 47 cubic feet of cargo room. In terms of infotainment, the Explorer has an 8-inch display and offers a 14-speaker stereo system. There's no shortage of configuration options for creating a personalized cabin. You can swap out the second-row bench seat for two captain's chairs for more comfort, although this reduces the capacity to six people. You can also step up to a higher trim level to access more luxurious materials and upscale features, such as leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats, and a moonroof. All About the 2024 Ford Explorer Features & Configurations

The Ford Explorer has established a reputation as a versatile three-row SUV that's equally at home carrying a large family as it is hauling a load of cargo. For the 2024 model year, Ford is giving its top midsize SUV an overhaul with some exciting new features. Here at Brewster Ford in Brewster, New York, we're looking forward to the all-new Explorer that'll hit our showroom toward the end of 2023. If you want to stay on top of the latest news about the release date or any new features, don't hesitate to contact our team and we'll be happy to help you. What's New for the 2024 Ford Explorer? The sixth edition of the Ford Explorer was released for the 2020 model year, so we're expecting a few styling upgrades for 2024 as part of a mid-cycle update to keep this three-row SUV looking fresh. We don't have too many confirmed details yet, but we're expecting that the infotainment touch screens could be renewed to give you a larger display to work with. We also think Ford could give the exterior a slight upgrade, with possibly some new designs for the headlights, grill, and other front-end features. One possibility is that the LED light strip across the top of the grill on the new F-150 Lightning could appear on the Explorer. As we get closer to the release date, we'll be updating this section with new details about Ford's popular midsize SUV. Make sure to bookmark this page and check back in the coming weeks and months. 2024 Explorer Engine and Performance The Explorer has been at the cutting edge of SUV performance since it first appeared 30 years ago, leading the way for many SUVs that followed. In its sixth edition, the Explorer continues to have a powerful engine and capable powertrain. The base engine is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder unit able to put out 300 horsepower. It's a strong choice if you plan on sticking to city roads for most of your driving, but it'll also provide enough acceleration for highway trips. If you want to make the most of the Explorer's power for long highway drives or tow a heavy load at the rear, the upgraded engine will be your best bet. It's a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder unit that churns out an excellent 400 horsepower. It helps you access the Explorer's 5,600-pound towing capacity, which provides you with enough muscle to haul a midsize camper out of town for the weekend. 2024 Ford Explorer Interior The Explorer can seat up to seven people across its three rows. You'll need to stick with the standard second-row bench seat to have this maximum capacity. If you'd like a little more comfort in the second-row captain's chairs, your overall passenger capacity will be cut to six. Both the second and third rows have equipment for installing children's seats. The Explorer also excels in cargo capacity, offering one of the roomiest cabins in the midsize SUV class. Behind the third row, you'll find 18 cubic feet of cargo space, about enough for some groceries from the store. If you're planning on transporting bulkier items, you can fold down the third row of seats to open up 47 cubic feet of space. With both rear rows folded flat, you get 87 cubic feet of space inside the Explorer. Explorer Infotainment and Safety Tech In the 2023 Explorer, the base infotainment system included an 8-inch touchscreen and a six-speaker stereo. As we noted earlier, a larger screen may be offered in the base setup for 2024, potentially the 10.1-inch unit that was an optional upgrade in 2023. Other base features we expect to stay the same include a Wi-Fi hotspot, smartphone compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and voice recognition. Ford offers a range of attractive infotainment upgrades for you to choose from. You can make the most of your favorite music with a 12-speaker or 14-speaker premium stereo. The optional 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster makes monitoring your Explorer's performance on the road much easier. With the rear-seat infotainment system, you can keep your kids or friends entertained on long drives. 2024 Explorer Trims and Pricing We expect the 2024 Explorer's starting price to be around $38,000. While the full trim lineup isn't out yet, we expect the trims to follow the 2023 selection. The only exception to this may be some adjustments in the availability of certain features throughout the trim lineup, which we'll let you know about closer to the release date. Eight trims were offered in the Explorer's 2023 edition: base, XLT, ST-Line, Limited, Timberline, ST, King Ranch, and Platinum. One of the main differences in the lineup is that the first five trims come standard with the base engine, while the ST, King Ranch, and Platinum trims are equipped with the more powerful twin-turbocharged six-cylinder unit. Stepping up to the XLT trim gains power-adjustable and heated front seats, rear-row USB ports, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The ST-Line has a more upscale cabin with synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and multi-colored ambient lighting. The Limited trim is truly luxurious, with genuine leather upholstery, ventilated front and second-row seats, and heated second-row seats. The ST features sporty styling with a tuned-up suspension and a digital gauge cluster. If you choose the King Ranch or Platinum, you can look forward to upgraded leather upholstery and interior wood trim.
