What’s Changing in 2026?

Ford is expected to release the 2026 model to dealers by fall 2025, but don’t expect a total makeover. The new model year will feature minor tweaks and special editions rather than a complete overhaul. A complete redesign is scheduled for 2027 or 2028, which means the 2026 model will offer proven technology with some fresh touches, so you won’t have to take a gamble on untested changes.

Performance and Efficiency

The Ford F-150 engine lineup has something for everyone. The base 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 packs 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque while delivering 18-19 mpg in the city and 23-25 mpg on the highway. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 bumps things up to 400 horsepower and 500 lb-ft, with 16-17 mpg in the city and 24-25 mpg on the highway. If you’re a V-8 fan, the 5.0-liter engine produces 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, along with decent fuel economy of 16 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

For serious power, the Raptor’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 delivers 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, while the Raptor R’s supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 produces 700 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency suffers, but it’s a small price to pay for so much power. The hybrid strikes a nice balance, pairing the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 with electric assistance for 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque, while achieving 22 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

F-150 SuperCrew models equipped with the 3.5-liter V-6 engine, four-wheel drive, and 6.5-foot bed can tow up to 13,500 pounds. If you need payload instead of towing, Regular Cabs with the 3.5-liter V-6, rear-wheel drive, and an 8-foot bed can handle up to 2,445 pounds.

Interior Comfort

Regular Cabs seat three across the bench, perfect for work crews heading to jobsites around Putnam Valley. Meanwhile, SuperCabs feature practical back doors and a rear bench that accommodates six people in total, making them great if your family needs extra space without going full-size. SuperCrews offer you proper full-size doors and seating that rival those of many SUVs. Every configuration comes with the large 12-inch digital cluster and a standard 12-inch touch screen, featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so your phone connects automatically.

SYNC 4 handles wireless updates automatically, so your truck stays current without requiring you to schedule service appointments specifically for software updates. Pro Power Onboard provides up to 7.2 kW of exportable power, transforming your F-150 into a mobile generator. BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving is available on over 130,000 miles of premapped highways across the U.S. and Canada, allowing you to enjoy hands-free cruising on those long hauls down I-84 toward the city.

Safety tech comes loaded with features to help with Brewster’s changing driving conditions. Front automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert are all standard. This generation has earned the Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the maximum five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That safety matters whether you’re navigating busy Route 6 during rush hour or taking the family for desserts and treats in Brewster.

Trim Levels and Customization Options

Ford offers nine trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R. Pricing is expected to mirror that of the 2025 model, but the exact details have yet to be released.

All models should share the same bed design, measuring 21.4 inches deep, 51.1 inches wide, with length options of 5.5, 6.5, or 8 feet, providing 52.8, 62.3, or 77.4 cubic feet of space, respectively. Sixteen wheel choices range from 17 to 22 inches, including bead-lock compatible options for serious off-roaders. Color selection includes 12 factory choices, with new additions from 2025, including Marsh Gray and Space White Metallic.
