Winter Fun In Brewster New York

Just because it’s winter time, there is no need to hide your head under the covers until Spring.  If you are lucky enough to live in the Brewster NY area, there are plenty of places to enjoy when it’s cold outside. At #BrewsterFord, we are excited about being a part of the Brewster community.  Here are some highlights of what our area offers.
 
Local landmarks are plentiful in our area.  Have you ever been to Putnam County’s Tilly Foster Farm?  If not, load up the kids and make your way there.  It’s a great spot to hike, fish, see farm animals and even cross-country ski.  If you love horses, you will definitely want to explore Pleasant View Farm located in the town of Southeast, New York, on the border of Westchester and Putnam counties.  It’s about an hour’s drive north of Manhattan. The farm is primarily devoted to horse boarding, care and training. It also has a small livestock operation and a mushroom farm. Both of these stops are beautiful especially when they are blanketed in snow.
 
If a bite to eat and brew is more your style, you must check out the Bull and Barrel where they have a passion for all things craft. They would tell you they are part brewer, part forager and part rabble rouser. This restaurant and brewery is situated near the base of the East Branch Reservoir. Looking for a great place for breakfast or lunch?  The Eveready Diner in Brewster is a classic.
