Ford And America’s Future Farmers Take A Virtual Field Trip

The Ford F-SERIES lineup of trucks are preferred by America’s agriculture and livestock industries with 40 percent of farmworkers driving the #F-150 and 36 percent using Super Duty trucks to get the job done!

Starting in 1948, Ford Motor Company began to sponsor the FFA. Since 1997, Ford has committed $9.2 million to the organization with Built Ford Tough scholarships for tomorrow’s farmers.

Building upon this working relationship, Ford collaborated with the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization and Discovery Education to give 54,000 students around the United States an inside look at how the company designs and engineers trucks to meet future needs of America’s future farmers and agricultural leaders.

The 45-minute virtual field trip was streamed live to more than 1,000 classrooms allowing students to meet Ford truck designers, program engineers and product durability engineers. Throughout the session, students had the ability to email and tweet questions live to speakers.
