If you want a Ford Edge with all-wheel drive (AWD), the great news is that as of 2022, all Ford Edges have AWD, regardless of which trim you pick. For you, this means no more paying extra just for those amazing off-roading capabilities and improved stability on the road. Keep reading to learn more about what each exciting trim level offers for the 2024 Ford Edge.

Is the Ford Edge 4-Wheel Drive?

2024 Ford Edge

There are several trims to choose from with the 2024 Ford Edge, meaning you’re sure to find one that fits your budget. Although it carries over many of the amazing features found in the previous iteration, including the standard all-wheel drive, many new things still make this model year even more exciting.

2024 Ford Edge SE

With seating for five, the base 2024 Edge comes standard with many features, such as the Ford Co-Pilot360, which offers innovative technology like BlueCruise, a feature that builds on adaptive cruise control.

The base model also offers ample comfort and convenience features such as two 12-volt powerpoints, intelligent access with push-button start, a blind-spot information system, a lane-keeping system, two configurable liquid crystal display displays for the driver’s instrument panel, and a USB media hub. The touch-screen infotainment system comes with the SYNC 4A system that integrates a FordPass Connect 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

2024 Ford Edge SEL

The SEL trim is stepping up in the way of driver-assistance technology to help you safely traverse the trails both on and off the pavement. With its available Co-Pilot360 Assist+ package, you can get adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology, a lane-centering system, and an evasive steering-assist system. In addition to the tech, the SEL trim gets a facelift with chrome exterior accents and signature lighting with dark bezel headlamps. Inside, standard amenities include ActiveX seating material and heated front seats, making for a more comfortable drive, no matter the weather.

2024 Ford Edge ST-Line

Sleek and stylish are two words that come to mind with the ST-Line with its dark interior, black accents, and ST badges artfully placed on the exterior. Speaking of the exterior, many touches set this trim apart from its predecessors, including the Pillar Black mesh grille, heated side-view mirrors, tailgate applique, satin aluminum fog lamps, and ST-Line fender badges. Other upgrades in this trim include 20-inch premium Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheels, as well as a wireless charging pad, remote start, and power liftgate as standard, which were optional features in the previous trim.

2024 Ford Edge Titanium

Next up is the Titanium line, which gets an even larger list of standard and optional Ford Co-Pilot360 features. The standard lineup includes rain-sensing wipers on the front windshield with optional features such as an enhanced active park-assist system, a forward, reverse, and side sensing system, and a front 180-degree camera with split view. The exterior includes bright tips and accents added to the dual integrated exhaust, door handles, and lower cladding.

Chrome finishes also make their way to the fog lamps and grille. Enhancing the upgraded feel are the interior upgrades such as ambient lighting, a standard heated steering wheel, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel that offers controls for cruise control, secondary audio controls, and five-way controls. Another unique touch that makes its way to the interior is a 10-way power driver’s seat, a six-way power front passenger seat, and available cooled front seats and heated rear seats.

2024 Ford Edge ST

Topping the trim list is the ST trim that takes performance up a notch. It has the same standard and available Ford Co-Pilot360 features as the plush Titanium line. Where this gets a major upgrade is the engine and transmission, which focuses more on providing a higher-end performance than previous trims. It gets a 2.7-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine that pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. This powerful engine can generate up to 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, making for a more responsive and fun drive.

Along with the engine and transmission, Ford boosted the brakes with the ST Performance Brake Package, including performance brake pads, Colorado Red-painted brake calipers, a brushless radiator cooling fan, and stunning 21-inch Gloss Black-painted aluminum wheels.

Optional Packages

To enhance your off-roading experience, there are also several optional packages you can add to your Ford Edge that bring your AWD experience to the next level. Here are some optional packages and upgrades to consider:

  • Class II Trailer Tow Package: Standard on the ST trim and available on the SEL, ST-Line, and Titanium trims, this package also has trailer sway control to provide you with more stability on the road. This includes SelectShift capability and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
  • Engine block heater: If you enjoy going on adventures in the cold or live where the winter does its best to turn you into an ice cube, upgrading to get the engine block heater can make the world of difference when it comes to starting your vehicle on those cold mornings.
  • Roof-rack side rails: If you love to go kayaking or mountain biking, you’ll know the importance of having side rails — and roof-rail crossbars — installed on your vehicle. The side rails and respective Yakima roof-rail crossbars on the Edge make it easy to haul things along with you for the journey.
