Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm is about a 25-minute drive from Brewster to Yorktown Heights. The farm is ready for individuals to come and select their trees the day after Thanksgiving. Be sure to make reservations at the farm because of the limited supply of trees. There's a reservation fee, which the farm uses as a credit for your tree purchase. You can use the farm's website to book your time slot. For trees, choose between a Douglas or a Fraser fir tree. At this farm, you get to experience cutting down your own Christmas tree.
You can also choose from a selection of pre-cut trees. While at the Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm, you can pick out wreaths and strands of garland to purchase and decorate your home. Additionally, there's a bakery on the farm, and you can buy delicious sweets, such as:
- Apple cider doughnuts.
- Fancy-dipped apples.
- Strudel sticks.
- Fudge.
Enjoy a fresh cup of apple cider with every tree purchase. There are two other stores to browse while you're here: the Apple Farm Market and Country Market, where you can purchase items like wreaths and other holiday decorations.

The types of trees available at this farm are:

The weekdays and weekends have different pricing options based on the farm's availability, such as only allowing tailgating on the weekends and offering an admission discount on the weekdays. Abel's Trees is a 40-minute drive from Brewster to Verbank, New York. There are several fun activities to do at this farm, including tailgating. If you wish to tailgate here, the farm prefers if you let the staff know about your plans due to limited space and not having open fires. Some other winter activities to enjoy here include drinking free hot cocoa, eating freshly baked goods, going on wagon rides, and browsing handcrafted decorations, like wreaths and garlands.

Fairview Tree Farm LLC
Drive about 45 minutes from Brewster to Shelton, Connecticut, to pick out a Christmas tree at the Fairview Tree Farm LLC. Here, you can go on a hayride with Santa, browse the Christmas Shoppe to pick out wreaths and ornaments, and drink hot chocolate while eating delicious apple cider doughnuts.

Reservations outside of the hayrides aren't required.

Jones Family Farms
The Jones Family Farms is also a 45-minute drive from Brewster to Shelton, Connecticut. Here, you can cut down your own Fraser fir tree or choose from a selection of pre-cut trees. You can also enjoy a hayride and tractor ride during your visit. The farmers keep the trees inside a nursery for two years before they plant them in the ground. Each summer, farmers hand-prune the trees for eight to 10 years. When you purchase a tree here, you can find fresh-smelling trees with strong needle retention.
